They say to keep your friends close and your enemies closer; however, I’ve never been completely convinced that’s the right way to go about life. But this pug simply cannot seem to leave his newly discovered archrival’s side, mainly because he can’t figure out what its beef is with him.

Needless to say…it’s pretty hilarious.

This little guy is either super offended by this tiny machine’s terrible manners, or he wants to know its secret for projecting such loud flatulence. Either way, I hope this rivalry is a longstanding thing, because it’s incredible.

Nothing’s better than sitting in front of a window unit and feeling that freezing air cut through the gross, heavy humidity as it hits your skin. This mini pooch definitely doesn’t mind taking the place of his mom’s instrument, since he also gets some super-fun belly rubs in the process.

Bath time: a touchy topic for toddlers worldwide. It’s a dividing issue for that demographic: Is bath time good? Or is bath time evil? There are pros and cons for both sides, of course, like it gets you fresh and clean, but it also gets you wet; you have to get naked, but, then again, you get to get naked.

We could debate this for hours, but this pup seems to have a pretty solid stance, and I don’t think he’s going to budge.

Come on, Monk, give your mom a break! It’ll be over in no time! Besides, don’t you want to go to bed smelling like lilacs?

I wonder if there’s such a thing as chicken-smelling shampoo…it would answer all of his protestations.

Everyone has different reactions to seeing their baby for the first time — laughter, tears, speechlessness. This new, young mom is overwhelmed with joy when she meets her new babe for the first time…she experiences all of the above, and it’s adorable to watch.

This is just too cute. I hope they have plenty of time to cuddle up on the couch binge-watching their favorite shows. And the best part? With this fuzzy bugger around, she’ll never have to nap solo again!

Then…there are acts like ventriloquist Marc Métral and his pup, Wendy, on Britain’s Got Talent.

Nope, you’re not dreaming, Simon. That dog is talking and singing! Now you can be credited for discovering the world’s first real, live cartoon!

(While some expressed concern for Wendy’s well-being, Métral and Britain’s Got Talent assured viewers that the little puppy was not harmed or in distress. It’s all in good fun — just ask Simon!)
