Daddy’s home!” ^_^ The kind of bond and relationship these 2 dogs must have with the soldier is definitely a strong, loving and positive one otherwise I doubt they would give him such a warm and awesome welcome. Leaving our pets behind for long periods of time is almost more heartbreaking than saying goodbye to our human loved ones. After all, you can’t reason with the animals or explain to them that you’ll be back in no time…and they don’t really make the best pen pals.

This pup was clearly distraught when she had to say goodbye to her dad for six months, while he was out on deployment, but her reaction when he returns is just about the sweetest thing you’ll ever see.

Six months feels more like three and a half years to pooches, so you can understand why she was a bit overwhelmed with joy. Here’s hoping they never have to spend too much time apart again!
