Ryker officially enrolled at the Double H academy with the noble goal of becoming a fully certified service dog. Like every other canine student in the intensive program he was expected to learn deep concentration and the valuable ability to completely ignore outside distractions while assisting future handlers. However despite the staff’s very best efforts this goofy Belgian Malinois had his own unique perspective on what his daily duties should entail. Instead of concentrating on boring obedience tasks he spent the vast majority of his time turning every single lesson into a wild chaotic adventure. The dedicated training team eventually put together a hysterical video compilation of his most memorable failures showcasing exactly why he failed out of the program.

The Hilarious Classroom Bloopers That Made This Goofy Pupil Famous

From his very first week in the classroom Ryker seemed far more interested in having pure fun than following standard human instructions. He happily snatched a bright tennis ball that was tucked safely beneath a patient’s walker causing a comical disruption. On another occasion he grabbed the handle of an occupied wheelchair and dragged the entire unit across the room like a toy. Leashes became mere suggestions to the powerful pup and every single piece of medical equipment appeared to be an invitation to play. The ultimate highlight occurred when the trainers tried teaching Ryker how to gently open a standard refrigerator door using a soft pull strap.

Instead of simply accessing a snack the enthusiastic Belgian Malinois yanked the handle with so much force that he dragged the entire heavy refrigerator halfway across the room. Needless to say those destructive over the top qualities are not exactly what professional service dog trainers look for in potential candidates. Still Ryker’s boundless zest for life was completely impossible to dislike and his tail wagging determination made him an instant viral favorite after the video hit social media. The side splitting clip quickly amassed over two million views with countless commenters celebrating the energetic animal for simply being true to his playful nature.

Why Failing The Final Exam Was The Absolute Best Path For This Pup

While Ryker’s chaotic training journey may seem entirely unusual his failure to graduate is actually far more common than most people realize. On average only about forty to fifty percent of high caliber dogs enrolled in rigorous service programs successfully complete their graduation requirements. True service work demands an extraordinary combination of intense intelligence rock solid emotional stability and absolute focus under pressure. Service dogs perform miraculous tasks like retrieving vital items guiding visually impaired handlers through crowded public spaces and even contacting emergency services during a medical crisis. For a free spirit like Ryker however the beautiful world was simply far too exciting to ignore.

Every floating tennis ball looked completely irresistible and every single room offered a fresh opportunity to unleash his trademark joy. Yet his inability to become a certified service dog does not make this wonderful boy any less special to the world. In fact the basic training he did manage to receive still gave him valuable socialization skills that will benefit him throughout his life. More importantly his deeply affectionate personality and playful nature make him perfectly suited for life as a cherished family companion. Ryker may never wear an official service vest but he accomplished a beautiful mission by spreading endless laughter and happiness to millions of people.
