Try as we might to explain to our sweet pets that we, sadly, sometimes must leave their side for our silly human things (like working to buy their food and toys), they never quite seem to get it. Their poor little hearts break every time we walk out that door.

These pooches tried to be patient when their owners left for the day. After time kept passing without their return, the cuties just couldn’t hold their anxious feelings in anymore — they had to howl it out.

Hopefully the humans have understanding neighbors who don’t mind the adorable dramatic doggies next door. They just have so many emotions.

When You See How Confused This Dog Is When He’s Scolded, You’ll Want To Hug Him

It’s never fun to get scolded. That feeling of letting someone down or being caught doing something naughty can be terrible — just ask this tiny little Chihuahua. The poor pup was caught peeing on the kitchen wall, and while his Russian owner playfully gave him a stern talking to, his expression sums up just how bad he feels about the whole thing.

Try watching this without wanting to give the little guy a huge hug (it’s impossible). The melodramatic music in the background doesn’t help, either.

Aww, I feel so bad for that little Chihuahua. He’s clearly torn up about the whole ordeal…someone get him some treats!

We look to our animal friends as sources of love, loyalty, and happiness, but when tragedy strikes, their melancholy emotions can be just as overwhelming as our own. Stories of dogs mourning the loss of their owners or fellow four-legged friends aren’t new, but this video of a pup at the grave of his former human takes that sorrow to a heartbreaking extreme.

Though the clip is brief, there’s no doubt its intense impact will stay with you all day.

His other humans admit they may be projecting some of their own emotions onto the poor pup, but that he had also never acted in this way before or after the trip to the grave. Either way, we definitely shouldn’t underestimate our animal friends’ capacity for caring.
