As you will see in the video, Edie was very aggressive and scared when she was being evaluated; she didn’t want to be touched. But then, as she was thrashing about, she found herself sitting in the man’s lap and things were immediately very different. Edie was a changed dog! Wait until you see Edie at the end!

“When we first met Duffy, he was slumped on the floor of a dark and dingy room in a puppy mill. His fur was matted, and he was unable to walk.”

Fortunately Duffy was not suffering from any serious health problems. With just a little bit of health treatments, he was able to transform in just a couple of weeks. He was able to walk, run free, and wag his tail like never before. But things kept only getting better for sweet Duffy. Soon after the recovery he was adopted to his forever loving family.

Now Duffy is living a normal life, and everything keeps only getting better and better for him. I am just too happy to hear all this, and I truly hope that Duffy keeps on experiencing only good and beautiful things in life. It is really amazing to see such inspiring transformations, and to be able to see that there is still hope in this world. There are still people that care enough for animals, and their well being, all this is just so beautiful to witness and watch. In the video below you will see how was Duffy from the day he was found in the hopeless puppy mill, and how he has transformed throughout all this time.

A lucky few get rescued from this fate, but that’s just the beginning of their journey. For Robin and Kaya, it took tons of care to get them to not think humans were going to treat them like a commodity.

After failing to acclimate at a shelter, Robin and Kaya were sent to ASPCA’s Behavioral Rehabilitation Center.

There, the employees study these severe cases, and find ways to help them become happy dogs.

Kaya could hardly function…

And Robin wanted nothing to do with people and other dogs.

And now, another German Shepherd has been found and rescued by the wonderful people at Hope for Paws. They received a call from a concerned citizen about a dog who she found wandering on the riverbank. The canal ran for miles so they didn’t know where to begin their search. Luckily, after just 30 minutes, they were able to spot the dog. Watch the video below and see the heartwarming rescue of this German Shepherd now known as “Adrienne”.

The dog, named Larry Bird, was a staff favorite. He was sweet and gentle but in the shelter he shut down and took cover under his bed. The dog seemed to trust no one and because of this he spent a weeks being overlooked by all potential adopters.

The scared dog’s luck changed when a picture of him hiding under the bed went viral on social media. Immediately, hundreds of people starter calling and emailing Hillsborough County Animal Services inquiring about Larry Bird.

On April 8th, 2015, after going through all adoption applications, the shelter made a decision and placed Larry with his perfect match. On that day, Larry was no longer the unwanted abandoned pet, instead he became THE DOG many solicited and hoped to take home.
