A woman and four dogs were killed in a crash caused by a known gang member who was fleeing from the police. According to multiple news agencies, Long Beach police began pursuing a stolen van around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The suspect, a parolee and known gang member, fled from the authorities and ran into a black car which held a woman and six dogs. Four of the dogs, and the woman, perished in the crash – the surviving dogs were transported to a veterinarian for care. Their current condition is unknown, reports Fox 11 News.
The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was transported to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
