In Chicago where temperatures have dropped to dangerous freezing conditions for humans and pets alike, the owner of a two-year-old German shepherd is desperately searching for her dog after he fled from a veterinarian’s office in Avondale on Saturday.
According to AbcNews, the dog named Toby, had been taken to the vet to have stitches removed from his eye. Because of Covid-19, the woman could not accompany her dog into the office. The woman was notified later in the day that Toby had been let out of the cage, but something scared him, and the dog ran out of the automatic door. Toby does have a history of being nervous at the vet’s office and around other dogs.
The veterinarian’s office is located on N. California Avenue and W. Roscoe Street. Because of the extreme temperatures, his owner is very worried Toby won’t survive.
Please be on the lookout for Toby and call Nelly at 773.598.0775 if the dog is spotted. Help Toby get home.
