Her 3-year-old son Carson was playing outside of her house with the family dog, Cooper, when Urness noticed that both of them were gone. The police immediately began searching the area along with volunteers from the neighborhood. Cooper was lying on top of little Carson to keep him warm in the 40-degree temperature. He was the true hero of the night and both Carson and Cooper made it home safe and sound following their ordeal.
