These Inseparable Dogs Remain Constantly Touching to Find Comfort and Peace in One Another

These bonded shelter dogs, named Bonnie and Clyde, are absolutely inseparable…literally! Although the details of their past is unknown, one thing that is for certain is that they are the best of friends!

The two of them were found as strays, roaming the streets of Arizona. They were recently rescued and taken in by Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, who quickly realized that these two dogs had a very strong bond.

They decided to keep them in the same kennel, so that they could remain together. It’s likely that these dogs once lived in the same home together, or maybe they even met while living on the streets. But regardless of how it happened, MCACC knew it would not be right to separate them now.

The smaller dog, Clyde, is always sitting on top of Bonnie no matter what position Bonnie is in. Whether Bonnie is lying down, sitting, or standing up, you can always find Clyde perched on top of her. And Bonnie doesn’t seem to mind it one bit!

And when it’s time for a nap, the two of them snuggle up together. There’s rarely a time where they are not touching each other in one way or another. Although they did not have a family, they have always found comfort in one another, and that’s what they continue to do. Shelters can be a very stressful environment for dogs, but luckily these two had each other to (literally) lean on when times got hard.

Because of their strong bond, MCACC hoped that Bonnie and Clyde would be adopted together. And last week, that wish came true! Not only will Bonnie and Clyde have a loving home for the rest of their lives, but they will get to continue to share each day by each other’s sides!

This is absolutely heartwarming and it’s so great that these two best friends will get to stay together! If you’re thinking of getting a new pet, consider adopting! You could make a dog or cat just like Bonnie and Clyde very happy!
