14-year-old dog confused after family surrendered due to ‘personal problems’

A 14-year-old dog, named “Lucky,” is sad and confused after being surrendered to a busy open-intake animal control agency in Gardena, California. Lucky is not so lucky after losing her home and family – all that she once knew is gone and she is alone and in danger of losing her life.

Lucky’s family opted to leave their pet at the Carson Animal Services facility for “personal reasons.” Exactly what those reasons are is unknown – what is a known is that Lucky needs some help to find somewhere safe to go.

#A1417463 My name is LUCKY and I’m an approximately 14 year old female Chow. I am already spayed. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 5/13. I will be available on 5/13. You can visit me at my temporary home at C410. My former family who owned me for had to give me up because they had personal problems.

The animal control agency is full – Lucky needs to leave as soon as possible. INTERESTED IN FOSTERING? If you are in LA, OC, SB, or Riverside County and can foster this dog, please take a moment to email CarsonfosterS@gmail.com ASAP to request an application.
