UPDATED: The Big Lebowski has found a home!

If you visit the DuPage County Animal Services in Wheaton, Illinois, you are likely to be surprised by one of their current guests. It is a 30-pound cat that is so large, it has earned the title: ‘The Big Lebowski’.

According to a post on the DuPage County Animal Services Facebook page: “Also answers to, the Dude, His dudeness, duder, or el dudorino.”

“Oh lawd he comin’ up for adoption,” said DCAS. “Who likes thicc boys??”

The previous owners of this three-year-old orange and white tabby moved and left him behind. He ended up at the shelter, where he is waiting for his forever home.

The shelter says he does more than live up to his name with his size. He also lives up to it in his temperament. They describe him as “Large, laid back, and not one to make a fuss about, well anything.”

The DCAS is also claiming that Lebowski can do more than make a great lap cat, he might also be able to tie any room together.

“He’s waiting for you to adopt him. Until then, The Dude abides.”

DCAS has reported that Lebowski does have an adopter lined up but they don’t want you to be sad. They have another supersized chonk named PeeWee that has been waiting for her forever home since July.

“PeeWee may not be as chonky as The Dude but there’s still plenty of her to love!” the DCAS staff wrote in a post.
