Abandoned Pup Returned to Shelter, but Rescue Organization Steps In to Help

On Monday, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue in Atlanta, Georgia stepped in to assist a young dog named Cardigan who had been abandoned at a nearby shelter. The shelter had previously contacted Angels Among Us Pet Rescue for help finding a safe place for the frightened pup. Although Cardigan had been adopted before transport could be arranged, the adoption didn’t work out as expected.

He was not loved by his adopter, and they returned him to the shelter. This is what we were told.

Unfortunately, the organization hadn’t been able to secure a reliable foster home in time, leading to Cardigan ending up with the wrong family. Now, Cardigan is safe, and donations are needed to help with veterinary expenses. Updates on his progress will be provided soon.

In addition to helping Cardigan and donating, foster homes are urgently needed. To apply to become a foster home, visit angelsrescue.org/foster. Donations can be made in one of three ways: by clicking the donate button on their website, selecting Cardigan from the dropdown menu, or sending a check by mail.

Excess funds raised for a specific animal will be used for the care and expenses of other dogs and cats in need at Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. Donations made through their website will be tracked internally.
