Angry football fan attacks her girlfriend, places dog into microwave

On Sunday, an angry football fan took her frustration out on her girlfriend, and an innocent dog, following a Philadelphia Eagles playoff game loss. As reported by the Morning Call, the disturbing incident took place inside of a hotel room in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania.

The allegations

Kirsten J. Gaskins, 31, allegedly “got drunk” and attacked her girlfriend in the midst of an argument about the Eagles’ playoff loss. Gaskins is accused of punching her girlfriend and knocking her to the ground – she also allegedly threatened to kill her dog.

When police arrived to the room, they found a white Pomeranian, unharmed in the microwave. Though the microwave was never turned on, the dog was too big to stand up or turn around inside of the machine, and there was limited ventilation.

The woman accused of instigating the violence refused to talk to the authorities. She was found to be in possession of a marijuana grinder – the incident resulted in multiple charges, including:  simple assault, harassment, cruelty to animals and possession of drug paraphernalia.
