Devoted dog doesn’t want to leave owner while being surrendered

No time…no room…can’t keep – so many reasons, but none truly matter to the dog who is left behind. On May 12, a five-year-old German shepherd named “Hitch,” was walked into the San Bernardino City Animal Control, in California, and handed over to strangers.

A video was captured showing Hitch as he was being surrendered – in the short clip, it is readily apparent that Hitch is devoted to the person who has chosen, for one reason or another, to let him go.

After Hitch was surrendered, a networker shared his information on Facebook:

Hitch is a 5 year old great, friendly, neutered male German Shepherd who’s owner cant keep anymore? Owner states he has no room? Hitch is good with dogs, kids and some cats.

San Bernardino City Shelter, CA doesn’t have many networkers, we really need your help sharing our dogs. The local rescues are full and we’re in big trouble!

Please help Hitch find a safe place to go by sharing his adoption information.
