Dog Rescued From Cruel Testing Facility Can Finally Wag Her Tail With Happiness

Libby started her life off at an animal-testing laboratory in rural North Carolina called Professional Laboratory and Research Services, Inc. (PLRS), known only by the number tattooed on her ear: 534120. It was a nightmare scenario that no animal deserves to experience.

Thankfully, the facility was shut down seven years ago following a PETA investigation that exposed workers who screamed at animals, slammed them into cages, and smeared their skin with toxic chemicals. Libby was rescued and placed in a home.

When she first arrived to her new guardian, she was scared and desperate for affection. She crawled up onto her mom’s belly but was too terrified to stand up. She was taken on her very first walk, but the dog just plodded along and kept to herself.

It took a lot of patience, love, and care, but Libby now loves going on walks, playing with her two adopted canine siblings, and snuggling. She’s living the life with a loving guardian, good food, and a soft bed.

Libby went from being bone-thin with rotted teeth and riddled with hookworms and tapeworms to the beautiful dog she is today. She still jumps at loud noises and is afraid of her leash because of her rough past, but that’s to be expected. The important thing is that she’ll know nothing but love for the rest of her life.

There are some images at the beginning of the video that may be tough to watch, but the happy ending is a must see.
