Dying man granted final wish to say good-bye to his dog

A dying man was granted his final wish to say good-bye to his dog, Shep. According to The Sun, Peter Robson’s visit with his beloved border collie was made possible by the nurses at Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital.

Robson’s granddaughter, Ashley Stevens, posted a video and photos of the emotional reunion to her Facebook page and wrote:

Absolutely amazed and touched today from NHS ninewells hospital, our grandads last and final wish was to see his dog one more time. Still in shock that the wish was granted and they went above and beyond today and made a dying man very happy.

Stevens acknowledged one nurse in particular for her help – she referred to Cheryl Whyte, the charge nurse of Ward 3, as an “absolute angel.” Adding that the family was “eternally grateful,” for making the touching reunion possible.

According to several reports, Mr. Robson passed away several hours after getting to visit with his beloved dog.
