Elderly dog homeless after owner admitted to nursing home

A senior dog in Memphis, Tennessee, is homeless after his owner was admitted to a nursing home. The 12-year-old dog, named Fluffy, was surrendered “in the field” after his owner went to the nursing home on February 22. At the same time, another senior dog named Ophelia became homeless as well.

Fluffy is being held at Memphis Animal Services – notes about the dog reveal a promising demeanor:

2/25/19 Fluffy was part of playgroups with other dogs on February 25, 2019. Fluffy was very laid back and friendly.

Help Fluffy, and his friend, find a new family

Fluffy is urgently in need of a new family, and so is his longtime friend, ID#A311363. Ophelia is a 12-year-old spayed female, mixed breed dog. Both dogs are elderly, and described as “sweet” and “dog-friendly.”

You can help make that possible by taking a moment to share their adoption information.
