She Was Emaciated, With Little Life Left, And Then Rescue Bank Stepped In

Three-year-old Boxer/Pit Bull mix Sweet Pea was brought to RAD Rescue in Tucson, AZ, after being picked up as a stray.

Despite being completely emaciated with little life left in her, Sweet Pea has lived up to her name – she is simply a sweet, sweet dog. Though she came to RAD Rescue terribly underweight, she has since put on good pounds and is now much healthier – right around 40 pounds.

“Thanks to the wonderful donations of high-quality pet food RAD Rescue receives from GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank, we were able to focus our donated funds toward the care and medical needs for Sweet Pea, instead of the growing cost of food. We greatly appreciate the support that Rescue Bank provides to our rescue, especially in cases such as Sweet Pea’s.” -RAD Rescue

Sweet Pea is housebroken and crate trained, and fares well around other dogs her size, as well as children, Adoptapet maintains. She loves going for rides and walks but, as she is diabetic and blind, Sweet Pea needs to find a home where she will have assistance.
