Emaciated senior survived on street until he could no longer walk Needs emergency rescue

One can barely imagine how this emaciated senior was able to survive on the streets of Miami for any length of time in this condition. And so he scavenged, and he did his best to survive until he could no longer walk.

Don was brought to Miami-Dade Animal Services on February 3, 2024. He weighs only 10 pounds and is estimated to be about eight years old.

Don is neutered and was wearing a collar. He is still on his stray hold. Notes from the shelter indicate he may be humanely euthanized because of his physical condition.

The neglect this poor dog suffered is incomprehensible. SEVERELY underweight, dehydrated, muscle wasting, severe dental disease, ocular opacity, penis stuck out of prepuce. This was apparently someone’s dog.
