Endearing Boxer Puppy Awaits a Forever Home at Texas Shelter

In Fort Worth, Texas, Luna, a charming seven-month-old Boxer mix, has spent nearly half her young life at the Chuck Silcox Animal Care & Control Center. On January 26, 2023, Luna’s owner, facing health issues, made the difficult decision to surrender her to the shelter.

She’s been at the shelter for almost 3 months; almost half her life. She looks so sad just curled up on her cot.

Luna, a beautiful Boxer blend, weighs in at approximately 42 pounds. According to her surrender form, she has experience living with other dogs, cats, and children. Luna is crate-trained and can respond to commands such as “sit,” “shake,” and “down.”

This lovable puppy enjoys playing, staying active, exploring the outdoors, and receiving affectionate scratches. Luna is a high-energy canine and, as suggested by shelter volunteers, would likely thrive in a home without very young children.

Luna is currently open to foster, adoption, or rescue at the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control, located at 4900 Martin Street, Fort Worth, TX 76119. To inquire, call 817-392-1234 and reference #0051951821.

Kindly share Luna’s story with approved rescue organizations, friends, family, and your social media network. Spreading the word can make a difference in finding her a loving forever home.
