When the crew at Animal Rescue Albania heard about this six-month-old dog stuck deep inside a small drain below the streets of Tirana, they were afraid extracting the poor thing would be impossible.

But that didn’t mean they weren’t still going to try as hard as they possibly could. After two long weeks of working together with local municipal employees to open the tunnel and create a pathway, they were able to free the young pup from her miserable situation. After receiving care from a local vet clinic, the organization worked with a shelter to find a forever home for this precious mutt. Here’s hoping her days are now filled with nothing but love and affection.
