Heartbreaking Sight: Abandoned German Shepherd Roams Streets Clutching His Stuffed Toy

In West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, a team of rescuers from Almost Home – NO KILL Rescue is on a crucial mission to save a forsaken German shepherd. This lonely dog has been seen wandering the streets with his toy stuffed animal in his mouth. Local residents report that the dog’s owner passed away, and nobody has come to the canine’s aid.

The rescuers hope to capture the dog, now named Steve, today. Ideally, they would find a foster home with a strong handler, as there is limited information about Steve’s behavior and background. If a suitable foster home is not found, Steve will be temporarily boarded until a proper handler can be identified. However, a home environment would be far more conducive to healing his broken heart.

Once Steve is secured, he will need boarding vaccinations, heartworm and flea medications, and a comprehensive physical examination to assess his health needs. His journey can be followed on social media here.

If you’re interested in fostering Steve, please complete a foster application!

Foster application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice… The rescue will be in touch once Steve is safe and secured.
