Humane Society Responds In Wake Of Volcanic Eruption To Save Over 900 Animals

The Humane Society’s Mexico and Latin America Animal Rescue Teams arrived on scene in wake of the Volcan de Fuego eruption in Guatemala to provide emergency relief and care to animals in desperate need of help. The catastrophic volcanic eruption left many animals displaced and without proper food and shelter.

The teams helped to distribute food, water, and medical supplies, and they treated 912 animals including dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and more.

The selfless work the Humane Society continues to provide saves animal lives all over the world. You can donate to help fight animal cruelty and abandonment.
