Innocent 4-month-old puppy victims of backyard breeder finally surrendered

On Thursday afternoon, four innocent 4-month-old puppies from an Ohio backyard breeder, were finally surrendered. If only the story of these little ones was as simple as a breeder having been overwhelmed and deciding that doing the best for the puppies, had been the determining factor.

According to the rescue group, Luv4K9s, from Dayton, the Beagle puppies had been living in horrible conditions. The breeder had recently shown up at a pet store with two of the puppies wanting to sell them. The owner of the pet store gave the man contact information for Luv4K9s, and explained they would take the mother dog and her five puppies.

Two weeks later, the backyard breeder called the rescue; it was already too late for one of the puppies that had died before ever having had a chance at life.

“For those unfamiliar with skin conditions, these pups are suffering from an advanced stage of Demodex mange. They also have a secondary skin infection, are anemic, terrified and miserable. Their recovery will take weeks if not months,” the organization posted on their social media page.

The breeder “forgot” to bring the mother dog when he showed up with the surviving puppies. One of the puppies has been transferred to another rescue.
