K-9 Finds Missing Toddler In Under 10 Minutes

When parents reported their three-year-old son missing in Ohio, Deputy Frank Bleigh knew there wasn’t a moment to lose. With each passing hour, the chances of locating a missing person significantly decrease. In such a critical situation, Bleigh called upon his trusted partner – Bandit, a K-9 officer specifically trained to handle such cases.

Bandit’s exceptional olfactory capabilities played a pivotal role in this nerve-racking situation. The K-9 officer detected the missing toddler’s scent almost instantly. Within an impressive 10 minutes, Bandit, along with Bleigh, was able to locate the child a mere quarter mile from his home, much to the immense relief of his worried parents.

The sheriff’s department praised the dynamic duo’s swift action on Facebook, stating, “Deputy Bleigh and K-9 Bandit started the search at the front of the house and within 10 minutes Bandit had located the child.” The post further highlighted the indispensable role of K-9 units in law enforcement, noting that Bandit’s tracking skills clearly demonstrated his aptitude and training.

The sheriff expressed his admiration for the successful operation, saying, “This is exactly why we have dog units, watching this track you could tell very well that Bandit had the scent of the child and was well on his way to finding him.” He concluded his statement by expressing his gratitude towards Deputy Bleigh and Bandit, acknowledging the remarkable way they handled the tense situation.
