Here is another story that proves dogs are man’s best friend. Our dogs would do anything for us, just ask Jonathan Hardman. Hardman and his friends were hiking Mount Bierstadt in the Rocky Mountains. Suddenly, a Hardman saw a bright flash and was knocked unconscious. When he woke up his friends all had sustained injuries – they had been struck by lightning.

Hardman’s German Shepherd, Rambo was laying across the shoulder of a friend. Rambo had been killed. Hardman’s life was saved because Rambo was standing next to him when the lightning hit. Doctors believe that Hartman and Rambo both got hit by lightning, but Rambo took the brunt of the blast.
