Lionel Messi’s Cherished Pet Hulk, a Gift from His Wife Antonela, is the Most Pampered Member of the Family

Lionel Messi is expected to celebrate the World Cup in Qatar by returning home to give a big hug to his 6-year-old dog Hulk, his loyal companion.

Lionel Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, has been a significant part of his life since before he became a global phenomenon. The couple has three children together – Mateo Messi, Ciro Messi, and Thiago Messi. However, there is another cherished member in their family – Hulk, a substantial Dogue de Bordeaux that tips the scales at over 50 kilograms.

Antonela not only gifted Messi with three wonderful, healthy, and happy children, but a few years ago, she also presented him with Hulk, who quickly became a beloved member of their family.

Hulk, the family pet gifted to Messi by his wife Antonela, holds a special place in the family. In January 2016, Messi introduced Hulk to his fans on Instagram. The adorable, chubby dog, with beautiful green eyes, was warmly welcomed by the football star, who thanked his wife for the lovely gift.

“Thank you, love, for this amazing present,” Messi wrote on Instagram. “We have a new member in our family.”

At 6 years old, Hulk, true to his name, is large and appears to be quite strong. This implies that he requires not only regular physical activity but also a well-balanced diet.

Leading up to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Messi and his family faced concerns as Hulk had not traveled with them. The beloved pet had instead stayed back in Barcelona for medical treatment.
