Man Configures Wagon With Dog Bed, Blankets, And Pillow So His Paralyzed Dog Can Still Go On Walks

Dogs love us unconditionally and would do anything for us. We are able to return that love by caring for our beloved dogs as they age and their bodies start to give out.

Bryan Thompson was out for a hike on a winter day in Shubie Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, when he noticed a man pulling a wagon. As Thompson approached the man, he noticed a large white dog wrapped in blankets and comfortably resting in the wagon.

The wagon was fitted with a comfy dog bed, plush blankets, and a foam pillow for the dog. The pup was also wearing a jacket to ensure she stayed warm. After talking with the man, Thompson learned the dog was paralyzed due to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

“He told me she has ALS, she was all bundled up and was happy for extra love,” wrote Thompson.

The dog was thankful for the fresh air and the sun warming her face. Her thoughtful dad even brought along some tasty jerky as a treat.

“I told him he was a great person for doing that, because I know there are many who wouldn’t. He just said that she would do the same for him and kept trucking. It’s hard to type this without tearing up,” posted Thompson.

The man continued on his way with his beloved dog and left Thompson near tears. Dogs are man’s best friend but this man is more than a good friend – he is an amazing dad.
