Petite, Puppy-Like Orah is a Gem of a Dog that Would Love to Be Your Companion

Meet Orah! Orah is a pretty lady who came to Pima Animal Care Center as a stray. She was cruising around Tucson, Arizona, with a few of her pals, but with the summer heat and the monsoons rolling in, it was time to find some shelter. Well, summer turned to fall and fall to winter, and, well, you know how seasons work. Adorable Orah has found herself waiting for a home for much longer than anyone ever expected — including her!!

Rescue Pets

While she was somewhat shy when she first arrived at PACC, Orah has turned into a goofy girl who is always smiling and happy to have time out of her kennel. She loves being chased and wrestling with her rowdy roommate, and their antics are hilarious to watch. Here’s what some of Orah’s volunteer pals have said about her:

Animal Shelter Volunteers

“Orah is such a fun, active young pup. She is soooo excited to get out of her kennel for a walk or a run around the yard with her buddy. She has had numerous kennel mates and her preference is to play with all of them. Chase, wrestle, and explore together. She’s a good friend to all. Orah is a nice size, not too big but has a huge personality. She reminds me of a little cheerleader, full of happiness and fun. She’s been friendly and social with all the humans she’s met at the shelter. She is a fun, bright light in a small package!”

“Orah is super puppy-like as in bouncy and full of energy! She is always super excited to get out for walks but settles once she has the chance to burn off a bit of energy. Orah is super friendly and loves attention, does great with her kennel mate, and will do really well in an active home where she has some tasks to keep her busy. She loves to jump up next to you if you sit on a bench, and can’t get enough pets – just a happy, silly lady.”

Adoptable Dogs

A spayed white and black Pibble that weighs approximately 51.50 pounds, shelter staff think she’s about 1 year and 9 months old. She’s been at the shelter since June 26, 2022.

Orah has spent enough time there and would love to find an active home where she can learn all about life as someone’s best pal. Of course, she’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit, but from what PACC has seen, she’d love to have a pal to play with. She is looking for a home without cats, though.

If you are interested in adopting Orah or you know of someone who might be, please email pacc.adopt@pima.gov with additional questions. She’s in Kennel D122, and her ID# is A781711. Check out her video below!
