Puppy alive and in a new home after failed euthanasia attempt

A puppy is alive and in a new home after a failed euthanasia attempt at an overcrowded animal shelter in Oklahoma. The pup, dubbed Rudolph, got his second chance after the veterinarian who had administered the deadly drug refused to do it again.

Kings Harvest Pet Rescue No Kill Shelter recounted the incredible story:

Euthanized but lived:

Rudolph is 7 to 8 months old. He has quite the story. He was at shelter that was full so the vet euthanized him. But God had a different plan because he woke up. And thank goodness the vet said he wouldn’t do it again.

The no-kill shelter took Rudolph in and vowed to find him a new home – on Saturday, the rescue group shared the good news with Facebook followers:

Rudolph is heading to his forever home. It was a tough decision with so many wonderful applications but Rudolph fell in love with this young man and the feeling was mutual. Thank you for adopting a rescue dog.

Enjoy the rest of your life Rudolph! And please remember…adopt, don’t shop! Dogs just like Rudolph are waiting for you.
