Puppy Found In Ditch With Muzzle Taped Shut Thanks The Man Who Saved Him

A man named Bob found a little dog with his muzzle taped shut in a ditch by a bridge and immediately scooped him up to take to the Griffith Animal Hospital in Griffith, Indiana. The black electrical tape was cut off revealing raw skin underneath meaning it had been there at least a couple of days.

The vet examined the puppy for other injuries and gave him some food. The poor thing had been through so much in the last few days and possibly even longer. Hospital workers watched with tears in their eyes as the pup ate while wagging his little tail.

No one knows who did this to the dog, and we may never know. Some think the puppy may have been used as a bait dog and then thrown out like trash.

The Griffith Animal Hospital took to Facebook to say the following: “We try our very best to help every creature that comes our way and we have to acknowledge that someone in our area is that mean, hateful to do something like this to an innocent pup.”

Louie was treated and has made a full recovery. And he would go on to find a loving forever home with Mary Connors Witting who ten years ago to the date left this very hospital after having to put down their beloved family dog. But now she has a new one! 🙂

Louie is loving his new life of love, snuggling, and treats! He finally knows what it’s like to be a dog, and he gets to live the life he’s always deserved.

He even got to meet his rescuer and hero when Mary brought him back to the hospital to see Bob. Louie thanked Bob with lots of kisses for saving his life. The man didn’t think the dog would remember him, and it made for one emotional reunion.
