Stella & Chewy’s Covering Adoption Fee For Senior Shelter Pets For The Entire Month Of November

November is National Adopt A Senior Pet Month and Stella & Chewy’s, a premium pet food company, is celebrating by covering the adoption fee of shelter pets in USA and Canada.

The company has been a longtime supporter and promoter of senior pet adoption, but are taking it a step further by reimbursing the adoption fee to anyone who adopts a senior cat or dog over the age of 7 during the month of November.

Stella and Chewy, both senior rescue dogs, were the inspiration behind the company and the Journey Home Fund, which encourages people to adopt senior pets, donates meals, and helps seniors find forever homes.

“By covering adoption fees this month, we hope more people feel encouraged to welcome a senior pet’s love into their home,” said Marie Moody, founder of Stella & Chewy’s.

Over the years, they have helped over 370 adult and senior pets find homes and covered more than $80,000 in adoption fees. But their work is far from over.

Stella & Chewy’s wants to help as many senior shelter pets as possible, so they reached out to their Journey Home Fund Partner rescues and featured some adoptable seniors in an article. One of the featured pets was a 10-year-old cat named Eeyore who has had a tough life on the streets, which led to his tail being amputated, but just wants a loving home to spend his golden years.

Maybe you’re more of a dog person. Well then Herman is the dog for you. He’s 12-years-old and although tiny, has a huge heart. His vision and hearing are starting to go a bit but he still loves to nap in the sun “and won’t cause any trouble.”

In addition to covering the adoption fee, the company has teamed up with Alex Morgan, world champion soccer player and devoted rescue dog mom, to donate $1 to a shelter pet in need for every Stella & Chewy’s product purchased.

There is no better time than now to add a gray-faced shelter pet to your home. Senior pets have so much love to give and are already house-trained and know basic commands. What are you waiting for?! Adopt don’t shop!

If you adopted or plan to adopt a senior pet in the month of November, be sure to complete an adoption sponsorship form with Stella & Chewy’s to be reimbursed for your adoption fee. Just a small thanks for saving a life.
