When a sinkhole formed near a housing unit’s steps in Russia, the city came by to patch it up. They filled the hole with sand and laid brick on top. Sounds fine, right? Everyone’s just doing their job.

But after the project was finished, residents heard something that made their hearts sink. From underneath the freshly laid bricks came a faint barking noise. When the city refused to assist them after a few days, they decided to take matters into their own hands and get to the demolition themselves. They only hoped that it wasn’t too late…

I remember the first time I saw a ball pit. It was an incredibly magical experience that I will probably cherish for the rest of my life. It was at a Burger King playpen and you had to crawl through several obstacles in order to get to it. The ball pit was the last thing in the playpen because Burger King knew that they had to save the best for last. As soon as I saw it, I jumped in and immediately started throwing the balls around and hitting my sister in the face with them. Great memories.

Apparently, humans aren’t the only beings that love ball pits, either. Check out this dog when he sees a ball pit for the first time. It’s absolutely adorable.

This little pup is taking advantage of her owner’s golf cart privileges…and she’s absolutely loving every second of it.

I wish I could enjoy any part of my day half as much as this little girl likes to ride on golf carts! She’s got absolutely zero worries in the whole wide world, and she’s definitely going to spend her golden years riding in style.

Being able to see your family in the flesh can really bring joy to even the worst day. You can only imagine what it might be like if you lost your sight, thinking you’d never be able to see your loved ones again…

That’s what happened to Duffy when he got diabetes, but with medication and careful monitoring, he got healthy enough to qualify him for eye surgery.

And when he sees his parents again…it’s the sweetest thing!

What a touching moment! I feel so lucky to have been able to witness it! You can tell that he’d been hoping this day would come for months.

This Dog Survived A Week In The Wilderness…His Rescue Will Make You Tear Up

A routine rescue drill for one three-year-old police dog turned into an ugly reality when the pup went missing, prompting a weeklong search. A team of six trained rescuers went looking for signs of the German Shepherd in the New Zealand wilderness for seven days and nights, while the brave pooch managed to forage for himself.
Thames was reunited with his handler, Mike Wakefield, after the team spotted some fresh paw prints in the mud. Watch the happy reunion below!

After Thames shared some salami with Wakefield, he was healthy enough to trek out of the woods and meet the press, friends, and family. He’ll get a checkup with his vet, just in case, and then he’ll have some much-deserved time off. Rest up, pup!

He Chipped Away At A Pipe Not Knowing What To Expect – I Was In Tears By The End

This rescue is hard to watch, but once you get to the end of it, it’s entirely worth it.

When a man in Portugal heard faint cries coming from deep underground, he set to work finding the source of the wails. After slowly and carefully chipping away at an old pipe, he first found a dog that sadly didn’t survive the elements…but what he found as he kept digging had me holding my breath until the very end.

It’s amazing that this pup didn’t just give up after being stuck underground in the dark like that for who knows how long. While it’s still unclear just how these dogs got themselves into this extremely unfortunate situation, the tail-wagging at the end of the story had me cheering!

She Was Hit By A Car, Struck With A Hammer, Buried…And She STILL Wags Her Tail

It’s happened before — an animal being buried alive…but how often do you see one that comes out with her tail wagging?
Theia, a Pit Bull mix, has gone through a lot in her one year of life, but that doesn’t stop her from looking on the bright side of things. She used to wander around the Moses Lake area of Washington, sustained by scraps from strangers. Then one day she was found covered in dirt, with her head smashed in by a hammer. But you know what? Her tail was still wagging.
Here’s the happy girl, safe and sound at her current foster home.

After Theia was hit by a car, doctors assume that the driver tried to conduct a make-shift mercy-killing by hitting her in the head with a hammer, and proceeded to bury the dog in a nearby field.
The pup, still very much alive, then found it in herself to dig her way out of her early grave.

Sara Mellado heard about the pup through Facebook, and immediately decided to foster her. She brought Theia into her home and got her the medical attention she needed.
But while her spirits are high and she showers all the doctors and her foster family with kisses, she still needs to have surgery.

Due to sinus complications leftover from the hammer hit, as well as a dislocated jaw from the car accident, she has a hard time breathing.
Mellado created a GoFundMe page to help raise money for Theia’s extensive surgeries.

She needs to raise $10,000 to make the life-changing surgeries possible.
Without the procedures, Theia will continue to lose sleep, as she’s constantly woken up by her inability to breathe regularly.

Mellado says, “She’s a true miracle dog and…deserves a good life.”
And who could possibly disagree with her?

Would you be able to find this much joy in life after experiencing something so unmentionably terrible?

She’s a real trooper.
