We don’t want to think about it, but it’s important that we know where our dogs can go when something happens to us. We want to make sure that our dogs will be cared for and loved.
So when this woman who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, she immediately searched for a loving, forever home for her dogs.
Her name is Kathleen Zuidema. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was given only six months to live or one year if she undergoes treatment.
Kathleen is now faced with the most difficult decision of her life. She has to find a home for three beautiful dogs, 11-year-old Autumn Moon, 4 1/2 year-old Moka Luka, and 4-year-old Finnegan.
She posted a letter on Facebook, heartbroken and sobbing. It was hard having to live without her dogs, but it’s harder for her dogs to live without her and without a loving home.

Thankfully, a couple has stepped forward and volunteered to take care of her dogs. It was a painful decision, but Kathleen wants what’s best for her dogs.
