Dachshunds are funny little creatures. They usually need some alone time every day, but when they want love, they’ll stop at nothing to get it (like my dachshund, who seriously will not stop walking across my keyboard).

While this doxie dad was trying to get some work done on his computer, his little buddy — an adorable longhaired dachshund named Ricky — decided that it was time to play. When he didn’t get the hint after a bit of whining, Ricky pulled out all the stops. His determination is admirable, adorable, and also kind of alarming.

He’s a needy dude, isn’t he? But if his dad would just stop what he was doing, he wouldn’t have to unleash the crazy! One does not simply ignore a doxie, after all.

Returning home from vacation, this dog’s owner decided to play a funny trick on his pup. Running into the backyard before Fizz could see him, he found the perfect hiding spot under a blanket, and waited. Suddenly the big girl showed up, sensing something was afoot. She sniffed around after hearing a familiar whistle.

Could it be? Is someone here? Wandering around the patio she had an inkling that maybe, just maybe, her dad was home. That’s when she suddenly decided to give that blanket a second look…

As she looked around, the blanket looked normal enough.

In a messy explosion of love, slobber, and play, these two best friends were reunited. Could it have been more awesome? We think not.

Wiener dogs are an insanely cute breed of dogs. Technically known as dachshunds, the long, skinny canines make for quite a funny sight, no matter what they’re doing.

Proof of this fact can be found at minor league baseball team The El Paso Chihuahuas’ recent wiener dog race. The winner is crowned the fastest dachshund in El Paso. Shortly after the race ended, everything started to hilariously fall apart. Watch as one tiny pooch gets into the baseball spirit (by running free in the field):

When You See This Dog’s Reaction To Hearing The Word ‘Walk’ You’ll Be In Stitches

Dogs can be trained to do just about anything these days. From fetching the newspaper, grabbing a beer from the fridge for us, or flushing the toilet, they’re pretty great. It’s important, though, that you give the dog a word to anchor that task to (fetch, down, etc.), and once it hears that word, it knows exactly what to do.

There’s always an exception to the rule, though, and this dog is it. She appears to have only learned one word, and it’s absolutely hilarious seeing her react to it.
