EVERYONE Needs To See What Happens To Our Pets When They Sit in A Hot Car For 30 Minutes…

Mr.Dog — Fri, 11 Mar 2016 23:10:33 +0000

This loving vet wanted to see first-hand what it felt like to be in a parked car with the windows cracked. What better way to explain a situation to a pet owner than having experienced it for yourself? He chose a breezy summer day and wore light clothing and opened all four windows on the car about 2 inches. The car was warm when he entered, but not unbearable. He noted that even though the windows were down a bit and he could clearly see the trees swaying in the summer breeze, but there was no air movement in the car at all. With-in a few minutes, temperatures in the car reached 100 degrees. The gentleman was in complete control. He knew what was going on. Unlike a poor defenseless pet that only knows, no one is there and he or she is trapped and it is getting very hot. He said that every part of his mind and body were telling him to get out of that car! But a little dog or an elderly dog would not have the option of getting out. Their fear would grow. They would begin to panic.

In 20 minutes the temperature was well over 100 degrees. The doctor was sweating in waves. His clothes were soaked. His body was desperately trying to cool itself. Not only can a dog not sweat, he is covered in fur. His body temperature would be dangerously high. He would be in desperate need of air and water. He would still be confused. He knows his owner loves him. But why did she desert him? Why did she leave him here to die? He tries barking and trying to find her. The extra energy that took made his situation critical.

In 30 minutes, the temperature in the car, with the windows down is between 116 and 120 degrees. The animal is covered in fur and has had no air or water for half an hour. He is weak and dehydrated. It could already be too late to recover.

This Puppy Can’t Stand, Sit Or Walk. What Happens Is Nothing Short Of A Miracle.

Mr.Dog — Mon, 15 Feb 2016 23:10:57 +0000

Born with a severe disability called “Swimmer Puppy Syndrome” Mick would have been euthanized if not for the people that gave him a chance at life through getting him the treatment that he desperately needed. Most puppies that are born with “Swimmer Puppy Syndrome” are euthanized because the puppy cannot sit, lay or walk and requires therapy because they are completely flat with pressure on their chest at all times since their legs are useless. This pressure can lead to many complications and can make life even more complicated with difficulty breathing. The therapies are expensive and many people do not even know that they are out there to help these innocent little puppies so instead the puppies lose their lives to what people consider mercy.

Thankfully Mick was given the extensive therapy that he needed in order to live because there were those out there that new that there are treatments available for “Swimmer Puppy Syndrome”. It included hanging from a harness to take the pressure off his chest and that also put his legs in the right position. He was propped up sometimes as well to keep the pressure off his chest as well. He was harnessed and learned to swim to help build up the muscles in his body so that when the therapy was successful he would be able to walk, run, and sit. Some of the therapies that are required included having his legs tied together with stretch bands that help keep his feet in the position that they are supposed to be in. More therapies that are involved are playing which helped build muscles and let Mick so things that a puppy enjoys. These therapies are done throughout the day so that while he could rest he was still working on everything he needed in order to help him to live a full and good life.

Watch What Happens When This Clever Dog Hijacks A Boy’s Sled

Mr.Dog — Sun, 31 Jan 2016 00:42:16 +0000

Many dogs love winter just as much as we do – rolling in the snow, catching snowflakes, digging in the fluffy powder. But some dogs take it just a little too far. We know what you were expecting – a Husky right? After all, if there was one breed of dog that should be king of winter, it would be him. But no, our suspect is an adorable, unobtrusive French Bulldog in a little red coat.

Just look how innocent he appears to be! But no, this Frenchie has an agenda – total winter domination. To start? Getting this kid off his sled.

This Is What Happens (In Slow Motion) Every Time A Dog Hears Another Dog Bark – Pretty Amazing!

Mr.Dog — Mon, 24 Aug 2015 01:00:21 +0000

It seems like whenever dogs hear other dogs bark, it elicits an extreme reaction from all of them! Depending on how big the dog is who heard the bark, different emotions will show. Most have this scared, astonished look in their faces with their eyes growing bigger and they get ready to take flight. Others seem like they grit their teeth, a look of determination on their faces and take a defense stance. Truly interesting!

Most of the faces are comical and you kinda wonder what goes through their minds when they hear other dogs bark. I like the look of surprise that shows in the eyes of some of them, as if they heard a bark from the past – a friend is here!
