Luckily for him, he’s got a new buddy who is willing to help him through the hard times. Don’t we all need a good friend to see us through from time to time? When this little puppy does not know how to get back into the house and starts yapping his head off, his big brother calmly looks on, trying to figure out the situation.

At first, the larger dog leaves the little puppy to handle the door dilemma on his own, hoping that he’ll be able to put two and two together. The puppy has other ideas, though, and continues to yip and yap at the door that does not work. The big dog doubles back for his new tiny pal and tries his best to help out.

He demonstrates proper door usage to the puppy, while the animal looks on, amazed. How is the big dog going in and out of the house so easily? The little puppy remains puzzled and at long last, the big dog comes back and decides to offer further assistance to his confused sibling. What a great big brother he is.

Lots of big brothers would get impatient in a situation like this and leave the little one behind. But not this guy! He comes back for the little brother and finally decides to simply guide him to the correct entrance with his noise. We shudder to think of how long it might have taken for the puppy to learn his way around otherwise.

Hopefully, the older dog’s lesson sank in and the little pup will no longer have to struggle. We’d hate to think that the older dog’s super helpful lesson was all for naught. The older brother also stays and waits for the little one to make his way inside. This type of attention to detail goes a long way and these two are bound to be friends for years to come.

Fortunately, her breeders, Adele and Claude Bisson, swung into action. In the past, they had tried syringes, eyedroppers and even tube feeding. But none of this worked with little Lilly. So Adele came up with an ingenious idea. Using a few easy to find items, Adele was able to feed the tiny pup until she was able to eat on her own. Her new technique, which she called “Nature’s Udder Mother,” was so effective that people all over the world have utilized it to save the lives of newborn pups that would have otherwise died from starvation.

As you can see in the video, Lilly Blossom took to the sponge technique without a hitch. Thanks to some quick thinking and a lot of love for dogs, Lilly Blossom is almost two and half years old. She’s full of energy and has a loving family that is thankful everyday for the kindness, and ingenuity, that Adele showed to little Lilly Blossom.

The law was introduced by Tennessee state Rep. David Hawk (R) after he learned of a dog dying and another one left with serious injuries, when the two were trapped inside a hot car and police officers took too long to respond to this emergency.

It only takes a few minutes for a dog trapped in a hot car to die. Sadly, in most U.S. states law enforcement officers are the only ones allowed to break into cars to save a pet’s life.

Tennessee’s new law is something we would like enforced in all 50 states.

State Representative Nick Collins has sponsored Bill 3272, which was petitioned by Dorchester resident Bill Trabucco.  Some 5,000 cemeteries in the state would be able to designate land for the “co-internment … of the bodies of humans and their pets.”

In some states, similar laws have already been enacted.  In Virginia, pets may be buried alongside their owners, but not in the same coffin.  In Florida, provided that the pet has died first, remains may be entombed with their human.

“Animals have suffered in silence for far too long. They have amazing qualities that the human race can only aspire to,” Trabucco told the Boston Herald. “Going forward, they will rightfully be protected through effective Massachusetts legislation.”

Thomas Daly, chairman of the Massachusetts Cemetery Association’s Legislative and Consumer Affairs Committee, believes there has been an increased demand for pet/owner burials, and feels that all opinions should be regarded before making it a law.  He also wonders whether or not the law would allow people to be buried with their animals in pet cemeteries.

“We’re trying to get our arms around this very, very quickly,” Daly said. “As a pet owner, you want dignity and respect for your pet because they’re part of the family. Are we ready to allow them to be in the same grave together? There needs to be more discussion. Even though it’d be great, we have to look at it in a much bigger picture.”
