Kait & John Seyal, along with their two dogs Max and Grace, walked across the US – from Delaware to California.

“People have asked us how we could take time out of our lives to do this and I’ve always laughed at that question because I don’t know how I could take time my life to do anything else. I’m putting time into my life right now,” said John.

With no kids and no mortgage, the two wanted a way to volunteer and travel full-time. Then they met a girl who had ridden her horse across the country and it gave them the idea.

“I want to walk my dog across the country,” said Kait.

They spent a year and a half planning and fundraising. And then started their journey on March 1 in Louis, Delaware on the Atlantic Ocean.

They walked to promote pet therapy and animal rescue. Along the way, they stopped at hospitals, nursing homes, veteran facilities, children’s homes and anywhere else where a dog is needed.

“The children’s home visits are the by far the most rewarding and the most fun for us,” said Kait.

They relied on the kindness of strangers to get through the journey – giving them a place to stay, food, company, etc.

His plan is to visit all 696 Harley Davidson dealerships in the Unites States, selling all of his possessions to be sure he and scooter raise every single cent possible.

After about six months on the road, Sandoval has raised over $50,000 for the American Legion Legacy Scholarship fund.

“We’re on schedule to raise over $250,000 for these kids, just man, his dog, and his cell phone on the road,” Sandoval said.

There’s more to this than just donations.  Scooter and Sandoval are also working on a world record while they do the charity run.  They hope to be the dog and man team that has traveled the most miles together on motorcycle

Scooter seems to be enjoying the ride especially.  Which isn’t hard to imagine when you’re that cute, and ride a motorcycle.

“He’s a road dog man, Scooter loves the road,” said Sandoval.  “He’s been about 25,000 miles since we left and he gets a warm welcome everywhere we go.”

Sandoval and Scooter are finding tons of support everywhere they go.  After visiting Grand Rapids, Michigan, they found themselves some friends that were 100% behind them in their efforts to raise money.

“It takes a lot of dedication to take 18 months out of your life like this,” said Jim Vendeville.  Vendeville is the operations director for Fixed Harley, a dealership out of Grand Rapids.  “I really admire someone who’s willing to do this and that’s why we wanna fully support his cause.”

We’ve shared a couple of videos of unlikely animal friendships and we never get tired of them. Those sweet and adorable animals have taught us that despite our differences, we can all get along if we’re kind to each other.

What we have here for you is an unlikely trio– two rescued piglets and a three-legged Pit Bull! These three are the best of friends! The piglets, Ivan and Mishka, were purchased for a petting zoo for Halloween. When the holidays were over, the pigs were auctioned for slaughter. But a kindhearted individual saved them from that horrible fate. They were brought to Animal Place, a sanctuary for farm animals, were they met some new friends!

There they met Bella, a three-legged Pit Bull. And one day, their human guardian caught the piglets doing something adorable! Watch the video below!

Awww…they’re trying to pull Bella’s leash and take her for a walk! And I just love how gentle Bella is with her piggy friends! It just shows how gentle Pit Bulls can be!
