Recently Kobe’s Lakers played the Denver Nuggets, and he sat on the bench for the second half because of pain in his right shoulder.  To stay entertained, he made a deal with some kids behind him that if they could his dog’s name, he would give them the sneakers right off of his feet.

“They wanted to know what the name of my pet dog was so I gave them a clue,” Bryant told The Denver Post. “I said, ‘It’s in a [Harry] Potter film.’ So every time, they threw out like 15 names. The deal was if they got it, I’d give them my shoes. And they got it.”

Did you?  It’s Crucio, after the Cruciatus Curse.  (In case you’re not familiar, it’s one of the three Unforgivable Curses – this one is used to cause pain so people will give in to an evil witch or wizard’s will.)

But there doesn’t appear to be anything unforgivable about this cutie… unless he waits until he’s right next to you to shake off!

That’s where Seger, a chocolate Labrador, comes in. Once on a path to become a service dog, he found that simply wasn’t the life for him…he liked having time to relax, play with people, and do simple tricks for treats. So where did he go from there? He became a permanent fixture at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, Michigan, where he eases the sadness and stress that comes with planning a family member’s final goodbye.

He’s an extremely valuable member of the staff!

The team briefing at Frankfort Coast Guard station was interrupted on Tuesday when one of the crew spotted the dog plunge through the ice into the freezing waters of Betsie Lake in Michigan.

Donning their cold water suits, the Coast Guard rushed to the lake where Tim Putnam, boatswain mate third class, swam 200 feet through loose ice into the channel where Betsie Lake met Lake Michigan to save the animal.

The Coast Guard crew were at a briefing in Frankfort Coast Guard station on Tuesday when one of the team spotted the dog plunge through the ice

The Coast Guard crew had rushed to Betsie Lake in Michigan where they were able to rescue the dog from its freezing waters

Tim Putnam, boatswain mate third class, swam 200 feet through loose ice into the channel where Betsie Lake met Lake Michigan

Putnam said pushing the loose ice out of the way had been ‘exhausting’ but as he got closer, the dog began to swim towards him

The dog, which had been nicknamed Betsie by her rescuers, was sent to recover at the Animal Welfare League of Benzie County (pictured) which said she’s in good health despite the frozen ordeal

By the time Putnam reached the Labrador, both he and the dog were exhausted but he slowly helped to bring it to shore

Together the Coast Guard crew managed to haul the dog, which was shivering with cold, out of the water

Getting warm: Nicknamed Betsie, the dog gets a towel rub and was quickly transported into the warm to recover after the icy ordeal

After the puppies were adopted several kittens were in need of a mother and that’s where Lilly stepped up and offered her kind help. It was mighty kind of her to not only look after these kittens but also feed them on her milk. This dog really showed that a mother’s love knows no bounds.

She is as kind as any creature on earth can get. Have a look and share with others. There’s a great message and truckload of adorableness in this video.
