Lola was taken from his yard on the 7600 block of Brunache Street in Downey, which is near Las Angeles.  According to LeClair, a young boy saw a woman in a red car pull up to the home and take Lola while he was on his walk home from school.  When the boy asked what she was doing, she told him that the dog was going to the vet.

No one has seen Lola since that time.  She’s not shown up on any social media sites as of yet, but almost every available person in Downey is looking for this woman in a red car, but more importantly looking for Lola.  The dog happens to be very well known in the area, and many of LeClair’s neighbors and friends are putting up flyers and canvasing the area.

“For the last week and a half, day and night, I go to bed thinking about her, I wake up a time or two at night thinking about her.  I guess you call it grieving,” LeClair said.

This year hasn’t exactly been the easiest for LeClair.  First he lost his daughter, then he was in a car accident, and now someone has stolen his best friend from him.  As stated before, LeClair doesn’t want to start any trouble, he just wants his dog back.  Anyone with information on Lola’s whereabouts is asked to call 562-923-3364.  LeClair is offering a reward, and says that there will be “no questions asked” as long as Lola is returned to him safely.

“To steal a dog, I mean, I can’t even imagine why someone would do that,” Pittinger told KING 5 news.

Luckily, four days after starting a massive Facebook campaign and plastering “lost” fliers all over town, Macy was found and returned home.

Elizabeth Resendiz who lives 14 miles away from Pittinger’s home found the Pit bull running lose in a park. She recognized the pet from the shared Facebook posts and scared the dog would run into traffic and get killed, Resendiz picked up the 40 lbs. pooch and carried her home.

“I took off my jacket hoping Maci wouldn’t bite me and I wrapped my jacket around her because she looked very scared and cold,” said the rescuer. “But Maci was actually very obedient.”

The kind woman contacted Pittinger, gave her the good news and arranged to have Macy get back home where she belongs.

Macy’s owner is forever grateful that a kind stranger helped the dog get out of harms way and back home. “I owe so much to her,” said Pittinger. “As soon as I got Macy home, she ran to my husband and just curled up in his arms. And has been by our sides ever since.”

No matter where you live, leaving a pet unattended and tied outside will most likely lead to the pet getting stolen or “rescued” by a Good Samaritan who assumes the dog was abandoned by his owner. Well, this is just what happened to Kodi when his owner took 20 minutes shopping in a grocery store.

After leaving the pet all alone for 20 minutes outside the store. the pet owner returned to where he had left his pet but found his dog missing. Fearing someone had stolen his best-friend, the man contacted police and a search for the dog ensued.

According to CBS News, witnesses say a white male in his 20s driving a Jeep Wrangler  was seen picking up the Husky.

The following day, local police received an anonymous tip that led them to a residence where Kodi was found. Police reunited the dog with his owner.

It was not clear if charges where made against the person who took Kodi, what’s clear is that Kodi should have never been tied outside the store and left all alone.

We’re glad the dog was found unharmed and reunited with his owner, and we hope Kodi is never again left unattended.
