Animal Aid Unlimited from India shares this video and these photos of an amazing transformation.  You simply have to see this to believe it.  When first found, the dog was suffering through one of the worst cases of mange the rescuers had ever seen.  Things did not look good.

Miraculously, after just ten days of treatment, the dog started to turn around.  He is still doing well, and is looking for a proper forever home, with a loving family.  With his fresh, new coat, he seems to be much happier, and is an all around sweet heart of a dog.

He recovered from his poor health in a relatively short amount of time.  This was a good thing, considering the doctors did’t hold much hope for him to survive  Against all odds, he survived long enough to be rescued and every day that passes, he gets healthier and better.  Thanks to the caring people at Animal Aid Unlimited, this dog will live to see another day.

The puppy was originally named Newton after town he was found. A foster parent took in the sickly puppy and for two months helped treat him for malnutrition, flea infestation and a severe case of mange.

Just two months later, Newton was unrecognizable.

Ant Latimer visited Hout Bay NPO in June because he was interested in adopting a dog in the upcoming months. The new pet parent wasn’t planning on walking out of the center with a dog that day, but after meeting Newton, now named Enzo, and learning his story, the man couldn’t resist taking the pet home.

“There were about 20 dogs in the kennels and when I entered, they went completely crazy,” Latimer told News 24. “They started to attack one of the puppies, who was lying flat on his back as the others lunged at him. That little one being bitten is now my little Enzo. I held him in my arms and [after seeing] photos of how he looked when he was brought in – near death and without any fur – I knew I had to take him home.”

Enzo has grown to be quite mischievous. His new dad says the dog enjoys chewing on shoes, challenging dogs twice his size and eating lots of food.

“His appetite is costing me a fortune but he is a joy to have around,” said Latimer.

No one expected the shy little dog from the pile of garbage to turn into the active ball of energy Enzo is today. Latimer can’t imagine life without his dog and Darg is extremely happy they saved and placed the dog in an ideal forever home.

The exhausted old pup’s story may seem sad, but, like most rescues, it ends up being a happy ending thanks to a little kindness and love.

Pretty disturbing, right? Luckily, the kind stranger who found Norman quickly called a local rescue group called Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside (FIDO), who were determined to save the abandoned, abused dog.

Because of the group’s quick action, Norman is safe and sound and…wait for it…even found his forever home! His new mom, Susan Niehoff, says Norman is doing great. He suffers from arthritis which has impacted his ability to get around, but Susan says Norman is starting to embrace his new doggie wheelchair.

Here’s the happy pup and his family, about a year after being rescued:

For the first couple of months, due to his painful history, Norman had issues with food aggression and was often hungry. Soon, though, he began to trust Susan, and now, she says, “he loves being loved.”

Such a beautiful story – look at Norman’s little smile! We love seeing dogs get the love they deserve. It’s amazing how quickly animals adapt and thrive when they’re in an environment that encourages their happiness. Be sure to share this inspiring story!

The dog in the video below was abandoned, and he’s been living in the streets for so long that his hair is heavily matted. Hope for Paws found him hiding under a trailer. He’s so scared that he runs every time they go near him. When they finally got him, he was so terrified. After being betrayed and left homeless, roaming around the rough streets, it’s no wonder he’s frightened of somebody touching him. But with a little patience and a lot of love, they finally got him to calm down. Watch the video below and see his amazing transformation!

Underneath that heavily matted hair, behind the frightened and broken spirit, lies a dog who just needs to be loved.
