Lola was taken from his yard on the 7600 block of Brunache Street in Downey, which is near Las Angeles.  According to LeClair, a young boy saw a woman in a red car pull up to the home and take Lola while he was on his walk home from school.  When the boy asked what she was doing, she told him that the dog was going to the vet.

No one has seen Lola since that time.  She’s not shown up on any social media sites as of yet, but almost every available person in Downey is looking for this woman in a red car, but more importantly looking for Lola.  The dog happens to be very well known in the area, and many of LeClair’s neighbors and friends are putting up flyers and canvasing the area.

“For the last week and a half, day and night, I go to bed thinking about her, I wake up a time or two at night thinking about her.  I guess you call it grieving,” LeClair said.

This year hasn’t exactly been the easiest for LeClair.  First he lost his daughter, then he was in a car accident, and now someone has stolen his best friend from him.  As stated before, LeClair doesn’t want to start any trouble, he just wants his dog back.  Anyone with information on Lola’s whereabouts is asked to call 562-923-3364.  LeClair is offering a reward, and says that there will be “no questions asked” as long as Lola is returned to him safely.

Shortly before Christmas, a little boy’s beloved dog, Kase, went missing.  He and his family searched the neighborhood for him, but couldn’t find him.  Recently his mom did, and the reunion he has with Kase will completely melt your heart.

Paula Williams of Lubbock, Texas, was devastated for her son, who was dearly missing his dog.  About a month later, she saw Kase at a neighbor’s home.  She asked them to give him back, and discovered that they had been caring for him since he had gotten loose.

“He was found right down the street from our house. A nice family had taken him in and kept him warm and fed,” she said on Facebook.

When Paula arrived to pick up her son from his grandma’s house, she had the best surprise ever.

No matter where you live, leaving a pet unattended and tied outside will most likely lead to the pet getting stolen or “rescued” by a Good Samaritan who assumes the dog was abandoned by his owner. Well, this is just what happened to Kodi when his owner took 20 minutes shopping in a grocery store.

After leaving the pet all alone for 20 minutes outside the store. the pet owner returned to where he had left his pet but found his dog missing. Fearing someone had stolen his best-friend, the man contacted police and a search for the dog ensued.

According to CBS News, witnesses say a white male in his 20s driving a Jeep Wrangler  was seen picking up the Husky.

The following day, local police received an anonymous tip that led them to a residence where Kodi was found. Police reunited the dog with his owner.

It was not clear if charges where made against the person who took Kodi, what’s clear is that Kodi should have never been tied outside the store and left all alone.

We’re glad the dog was found unharmed and reunited with his owner, and we hope Kodi is never again left unattended.

“It was shattering,” Boozer’s owner Megan Marr told CBS Denver News.

Marr never expect to see the dog again, but last week Boozer arrived at the Foothills Animal Shelter and when scanned for a microchip, one was found. Thanks to this tiny device, a call was made and an emotional reunion between the dog and his true owners was made possible.

Lloyd Goldston said the years without his pet were tough on all family members. “We didn’t know if he was going to be mistreated, [but] despite that we never forgot about him.”

The family relocated to Colorado, but when they received that call, they packed up for an unforgettable road trip. Their beloved dog was waiting for them and the family wondered if their pet would recognize them. Despite their doubts, the Goldstons were ready to shower Boozer with hugs and kisses.

The reunion was an emotional one and there was not a dry eye in the room. Boozer seemed to be as happy to see his true owners as the Goldstons were to have him back in their arms.

“Whatever he’s got left, however many years he has left, it’s just going to be filled with love and family and fun. And you know, he’s home,” said Goldston.

But on May 15, 2015, Joshua got a call from a pet chip company, saying they had a dog named Duke with them and that the dog was registered under his name. Yesterday we reported that a man who is battling cancer was dealt another devastating blow when his beloved dog Maiden went missing. Thankfully the two have now been reunited!

Sebastian Delgado of Riverside, California has been fighting for his life after being diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, requiring surgery. But his 10-month-old pit bull has been helping him get by.

“The first thing that he asked me when he got out of surgery is, ‘Where’s Maiden?’” said Delgado’s girlfriend, Monica Tomer. “He could hardly talk or say his own name, but he remembered his puppy.”

On Saturday, Maiden snuck out through an open gate at a family friend’s house. Delgado was crushed, and desperately hoped someone would find and return her.

“I hope they’re not doing anything wrong to her because I know she’s a pit bull and a lot of people do bad stuff to them. I just hope they give her back to me,” he said.

Tracy Dose with the Riverside Police Department saw a Facebook post about Maiden and recalled that her coworker, Valarie Patacky, brought home a pit bull she found.

“My first thought was, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s too close to the street. I want to get her.’ So I just stopped the car and told my sister, ‘Open up the door, let’s see if she’ll come in,’” Pataky told ABC 7. “She jumped right in the car with us.”

Dose and Patacky immediately contacted Delgado, and the reunion was quickly arranged. He later took to Instagram to thank everyone for their help and give updates on Maiden:

“Maiden is now microchipped!!!! Thanks again for all the support and prayers that helped me to find my baby… dogs aren’t just pets, they are family. I hope everyone can continue to help support and pray for all other lost dogs that can reunite with their family.”

Though Delgado’s tumor was removed, it is very likely that it will return and he will have to endure additional chemotherapy and surgery, so he will be thankful to have Maiden there with him.

Houston, Texas is not exactly a hop, skip and a jump from the Netherlands.  In fact they’re about 5,000 miles away each other.  So, how exactly did Amy, a dog that went missing in the Netherlands find herself in the United States of America?

Amy is a two-year-old Shepherd mix. Back in October, she was found wandering alongside Interstate 10 by a college student from Katy, Texas. Amy was taken to a vet where it was discovered that she had a micro-chip containing her identity. The information on the chip revealed that Amy was a very long way from home.

Amy was from the Netherlands. She was missing from Linda Pool who had been her human mom since she was adopted as a pup back in 2011. Unfortunately, Linda’s family situation had been changed and she could no longer keep Amy. With a heavy heart, Linda brought Amy back to the person she got her from, in the hopes for finding Amy a new home.

For whatever reason, the person who was supposed to be helping re-home Amy, actually sold her off to another family. This was done behind Linda’s back, and Amy was never to be seen again. Or so Linda thought.

“I was very worried, I didn’t know how she was or where she was,” said Linda. “I can’t wait to pick her up.”

Amy is now hanging out in Moody, Texas. She’s staying with a foster mom, Miriam Brueggeman. Miriam said she was contacted by a friend that lives in the Netherlands out of nowhere and asked to assist with the situation.

“I am very thankful just to be able to help reunite a woman with her dog,” Miriam said. “I’ve had dogs for a long time; if it were me I can’t imagine finding my dog in another country. It’s just so crazy.”

Amy and her human have been keeping in contact over the internet via video chat. Amy still recognizes Dutch when she hears it, and is excited every time she gets a chance to connect with Linda.

It’s still very unclear on exactly how Amy got to the United States. Linda had raised enough money to come to Texas to get Amy back, and the pair are to be united December 17th.
