Beth has a special system in place to achieve success, according to Fox 10 Phoenix. She uses an interactive map to place lost animals in shelters, or those picked up by other people, based on the location of lost pet flyers and missing pet ads on sites such as Craigslist and Facebook. She uses the address from the lost pet posting and enters it into her map to determine if any of the dogs found were in a nearby area when someone picked them up. She then uses details from the post to make sure it is the right pet before contacting the owners.

Beth credits her first experiences working with euthanasia at kennels as the main motivation to start her side project. She is so dedicated to reuniting pets that she often prints out lost pet ads and takes them with her to various shelters in her area to find matches, reports Hartz Ultra Guard. While she is not always successful, she has yet to make a mistake with any of the 800 matches she found. She encourages all the families who contact her not to give up until they find closure, whether their pet comes home or not. It is such an emotional thing to be reunited with a beloved pet.

Two months later, Josh was ready to take care of Panda and Momma again, but he needed help transferring them across the country. Enter an animal hero named Mariah, who volunteered to drive Joshua’s pups all the way from Louisiana to California. When Mariah picked the dogs up, it was clear the two months spent away from Dad were just as difficult for them as it was for him. Panda and Momma were barely eating. They were skinny and miserable.

Not only did these dogs save the life of Duke, but also 50 other soldiers. When Duke returned home to the United States, he didn’t know if he would ever see the dogs again–the friends he credits for saving his life. But with the help of social media and the veteran’s assistance group called Hope for the Warriors, Duke was able to see his dogs again:

Animal control found the injured dog on Lincolnway and transported him to South Bend Animal Care and Control. Based on his injuries, the dog dubbed Trooper by staff members, could have been euthanized but because volunteers made a connection with the pet and saw he had a strong will to live, he was given a second chance.

The Care Foundation stepped up to cover all medical cost for Trooper, and after a vet exam, it was determined the dog needed emergency surgery to amputate his front leg. The accident left Trooper clinging for his life, he had internal injuries and his front, right leg was completely mangled.

After the surgery Trooper went to a foster home and a few weeks later fate brought him and his family back together.

Trooper’s foster parent works at the animal clinic and one day the foster parent brought Tropper into work. On that same day the Cortiz family walked into the shelter to look for Pio one more time. As soon as Tropper, whose real name is Pio, saw his family walk through the door, he jumped and barked out of excitement.

The dog was behind the front desk, but when he saw his family he tried to leap over the desk with his three legs.

The Cortiz family couldn’t believe they had found Pio. They were a bit shocked to learn their four-legged dog is now a three-legged pet, but nevertheless they loved their family member the same.

The family is beyond grateful to the Care Foundation for saving Pio’s life.
