We truly admire people who go out of their way and even risk their own lives to save animals. They are heroes.

The firemen in the video below truly are heroes. These brave firefighters entered a burning home in Sacramento in search of victims and to see the source of the fire. They didn’t find any humans inside, but they found a dog, hiding in the back bedroom. The firemen then quickly got the dog out of the burning home.

The rescue was caught on the fireman’s helmet cam. Watch the footage below!

Thankfully, the dog was unharmed. She was reunited with her owner who was waiting outside. A big thank you to the brave firemen for saving that poor dog. You guys are truly amazing!

According to responding firefighters, when the bath-hating dog took off running she found herself trapped inside four walls of her house. She attempted any escape route she could find and the only one available left her trapped between the outside walls of her home and her neighbors.

After realizing the pet needed the help of professional rescuers her owners called their local firefighters. The service men did not hesitate to visit the home and save her.

With the use of ropes rescuers were able to secure Bombón and slowly hoist her back to safety. Once back inside the house she was examined and fortunately did not suffer any injuries.

Even though the dog was glad to be out of the hole she fell in she was not happy about what was coming next – a bath.

Though squeezing her through caused her to be pinched a little, the team easily managed the task of getting her out.  Once free, she was naturally grateful, and doled out kisses at the rescue group’s home base.

And Animal Aid didn’t just save her once – they did it twice.  She also had mange, which would have eaten her alive had she not been taken in.

In Winthrop, WA, a person driving a truck had a terrible accident, sending his car over into the rolling rapids–with his poor riding in the back bed. Thankfully rescue crews responded to the call for help–just in time. When they arrived, they could see that this dog didn’t have long to live, the current strong and quickly submerging the vehicle. Crowds grew in numbers as onlookers couldn’t turn away to watch this amazing rescue. Just see for yourself!

We are so glad that this dog made it out alive, but this should serve as reminder to all that you never know what could happen if your dog is riding around in the back of a pickup truck. Pass this along to help keep dogs safe!

According to KOMO News, rescuers used one of their ladders to create a bridge and reach the dog.

A firefighter carefully crawled on top of the ladder and pulled the dog from the muddy waters. The pet was later transported to Animal Control.

The rescued dog did not have a microchip or ID tags, but firefighters and animal control officers hope the dog’s owner comes forward to claim him.

“I thought it was a recycle bin,” Lachat told ABC.”I seen it was a dog crate, and I seen him flopping around. So I stopped and backed up. I ran out and grabbed him.”

Thanks to the actions of this heroic driver, the black dog trapped inside the crate is alive today.

Once rescued, Lachat took the dog to the nearest veterinarians. There, it was determined the pet was in excellent health. The pooch had been recently neutered but unfortunately did not have a microchip and reuniting him with his owners has been difficult.

For now Lachat is caring for the dog and hopes the dog’s true owners come forward to claim their pet.

Hope for Paws, a Los Angeles based non-profit animal rescue organization, received a call from concerned neighbors about a German Shepherd dog who was trapped in the shallow L.A. river. The poor dog had no way to get out for miles and miles…he was totally trapped. Concerned residents in the neighborhood who noticed the situation fed the brave boy for weeks until they figured out how to handle the unique situation. It was difficult to access the dog with the 20 ft drop, and they had no way of lifting him to safety.

When Hope for Paws learned of the trapped dog, they immediately teamed up with the concerned neighbors to formulate a plan. With a ladder and makeshift contraption, they descended to help the dog, later named Biggie.

Biggie was initially reluctant to approach the rescuer, but soon he warmed up and remained calm as volunteers above pulled him to safety. Such an incredibly story of teamwork and genuine kindness for an animal who needed it. Watch Biggie’s story here!
