Vets guessed that she was run over by a train, but also mentioned that these horrible wounds could have been caused by an even more horrible human being.

Shania wondered where her stuff was and why her family left her behind in a strange place. Hope For Paws received a call from employees regarding an abandoned dog wandering around a lumber yard.

Hundreds of pets die every year from being left in hot cars. But one little dog trapped in a hot car used all her might to bark for help. The Maltese dog was left alone in a locked car in Disney’s Hollywood Studio parking lot and had to fend for herself as temperatures continued to rise.

When a sweet puppy, named Willow, was out with her owner, a truck tragically hit her. The impact was serious but the puppy was still alive! She needed immediate medical intervention but she didn’t quite understand that. Nor did she understand why she was suddenly all alone.

Dogs, when they’re in pain, search for anyone that might help. For most of us, seeing a dog in need makes us want to spring into action and care.

I think that most of us would probably do anything we could to save a dog in need. When it is our own dog, it’s really a no-brainer and we will go out of our way to make sure they have everything needed for a happy life.

It is always sad to hear about abandoned animals. Many of them come from situations of abuse and neglect, and it definitely shows in their demeanor.

Animals are very sensitive creatures. They can feel and process a lot of the same negative emotions that we can, such as fear or sadness. Sadly, it is not uncommon for stray animals to be traumatized after their experiences of living on the streets since that is usually a very stressful and emotional time in their lives.

If you’ve ever had a labrador in your life, you realize that they are special animals. Of course, you don’t have to have such a wonderful dog as part of your family to understand that fact, especially when you look at what Bertie was able to do.
