A note at the end of the video made it clear who to contact to learn more about Rush and adopting him. With a viral hit, the shelter hoped to finally find Rush a forever home with a bed he could make each day after more than 30 days in the shelter.

After seeing the viral video on a newscast, the woman who ended up adopting Rush texted her husband immediately to tell him about the video and her desire to adopt Rush. She was surprised when her husband didn’t immediately text her back with reasons not to adopt. After losing a dog earlier in the year, he said he was finally ready to adopt a new furry family member.

On the way to the shelter to adopt Rush, the couple saw a Cincinnati Bengals football team billboard with the words “Rush be There” in large letters, although the husband notes the billboard actually read “Rush to be There.” The couple agreed that it was a sign that Rush was meant to join their family.

A second viral video shows an exuberant and elated Rush playing with his new owners. Hopefully, Rush continues to delight his new owners with his quirky behavior and making his bed each morning. While Rush’s viral video led to a happy ending, and he’s making a new life at his forever home, there are still many pets waiting in shelters and foster homes for their own forever homes. Once firefighter came, they had to break the ice little by little, to be able to reach Boo while using a rowboat. In some spots the ice was really thick which made it really hard for them to break it. But there was no other way to get to Boo, so they kept breaking the ice until they  finally got close to Boo. That is when one of the firefighters reached down to him, pulled him closer, and got him into the boat.  The dog was really cold, and for a couple of more minutes he would have freezed inside the pond.

Firefighters amaze us once more. They were able to save the 13-year old dog from drowning. Once they rescued him from the critical situation, they wrapped him up in blankets. From the sight of the dog, you will be able to see that he was really really cold. Right after they wrapped the dog with blankets, immediately they set up a space heater to keep him warm. Thankfully Boo was rescued because otherwise this story would have had such a tragic ending. The video below will inform you fully.

The dog in the video below saved his owner from being bitten by a deadly Eastern Brown Snake. And FYI, most of the snakebite deaths in Australia is caused by the Eastern Brown Snake.

The dog chased the snake that slithered by the man’s feet. The dog’s actions alerted the man of the snake’s presence. He quickly got up and got his dog away from the snake. All of this was caught by the security camera. Checkout the footage below.

Wow! If it weren’t for that curious dog, the man would’ve been bitten by that snake. I’m glad that dog didn’t get bitten too!

Roosevelt the Border Collie has malformed legs. And thanks to his foster family and the New England Border Collie Rescue (NEBCR), along with the donations of kindhearted people, Roosevelt was able to get his very own wheelchair.

Once the frightened dog, whom Lisa named Angelo, realized that they were there to rescue him, he began to relax and allowed them to pet and hold him making it easier for them to get out of the trench. After weeks of living in the streets, he was finally bathe and taught how to trust people again.

Angelo was soon brought to his foster family where he met and made friends with 3 other dogs. He is now healthy and happy, just waiting for a new family and his forever home. The dog had been missing for nearly a month until one morning, while Khalik’s mom was taking out the trash, she heard barking behind her and when she turned around, Boomer was there; his leash tied to a telephone pole, in their yard. Needless to say, the reunion between a boy and his dog must have been awesome!

Though Boomer appeared physically normal and in good health, the family insisted on taking him to see the vet. I would too just in case he was used as a bait dog or one for breeding. And now, another German Shepherd has been found and rescued by the wonderful people at Hope for Paws. They received a call from a concerned citizen about a dog who she found wandering on the riverbank. The canal ran for miles so they didn’t know where to begin their search. Luckily, after just 30 minutes, they were able to spot the dog. Watch the video below and see the heartwarming rescue of this German Shepherd now known as “Adrienne”.

Then, eight years ago, Pam came across a puppy who had been very badly burned.

At just 8 weeks old, partiers had poured lighter fluid on him and set him on fire. For fun it would seem.

The puppy walked over a mile in that condition and was found in someone’s bushes.

“It was really difficulty because I knew what he was feeling,” explains Portia. “We tried to save him but we couldn’t. That was probably the most difficult [thing I have been through.]”

Portia is now the Animal Care Network Manager in Pontiac, Michigan. She has dedicated her life to trying to stop what happened to that poor puppy from happening to other dogs.

The first dog she rescued, twenty years ago, was a puppy stuck in a snowbank.

“I just thought that ‘I think we were all meant to do [this] because we were at the right place at the right time’ and we realized this was happening all over the city,” says Portia.

The Animal Care Network offers low to no cost spay and neuter along with other outreach programs. Since they began, they have fixed over 6,600 dogs and cats. In addition, they do two vaccine clinics a year, where they treat about 1,000 animals. They also help people with food, dog houses, stray (for bedding), and even transportation to and from the vet.

Portia turned a terrible story into a life’s mission.

“I think the dogs have taught me more about compassion [than anyone else],” says Portia. “Some of these dogs are just so happy to see us. I see so many dogs that are beaten, starved, neglected and their owners will come out and the dog still loves them. It’s their never-ending capacity for love towards somebody that even abuses and neglects them so bad. We could learn a lot from them.”

The hunter wanted to place a duck decoy in the lake but had no clue that entering the muddy waters would put his life at risk. Submerged in the  lake, the man’s legs got trapped in the heavy mud. He couldn’t free his legs and had to figure out a way to call for help.

The hunter’s dog patiently waited for his master’s return to shore, but with each passing minute the dog grew worried. Luckily for the hunter, he had his cell phone with him and  was able to call authorities.

When rescuers arrived, they realized  they too would get stuck in the mud if they tried to reach the man, but the dog was the only one able to swim without getting stuck. Rescuers tied a rope to the pet’s harness and had him reach his owner, that’s how the dog became the hunter’s only life line.

Once the dog reached his owner, the hunter untied the rope, secured it to his body and waited for a rescuer to reach him. The rescuer was also tied to the rope and with the help of others back on safe land, the trapped hunter was pulled from the mud.

If it wasn’t for the heroic dog, the hunter would have spent more time in the frigid waters while rescuers devised a plan to reach him without getting themselves trapped in the mud too.

The building was collapsing because of the huge fire, and water was running out. But a man bravely went inside the building because his dog was trapped inside. He climbs the building like a superhero and got his dog out. But moments later, he was handcuffed by the police. Check out the daring dog rescue in the video below!

Amazing! For him, his dog was more important than obeying the police. But I’m so glad he got his dog out to safety.

A mother dog in Valparaiso Chile showed how much a mother really loves her offspring when she acted on instinct and did whatever she could to save her nine puppies from a forest fire. She and her puppies were trapped in a forest fire and if it wasn’t for her quick thinking, her puppies would’ve died. What did the brave mother do? She buried her puppies to protect them.

The mother dog lead her puppies away from the fire. She found a metal container, and dug a hole under it for her puppies to take shelter. After making sure her puppies are safe, the mother dog ran away and found a place for her to take cover.

After the firefighters fought the flames, the local residents told them what happened to the mother dog and her puppies. Rescuers then searched for the dog and the puppies. They found the puppies alive and well under the metal container. The mother dog was found taking cover in a nearby burned down home. She was staying close to her puppies the whole time.

They named the mother dog Negrita. Now, she and her puppies are with an animal organization. A lot of people were so amazed by this mother dog’s heroic act that a lot of locals have come forward to give donations. Some of them were interested in adopting the family!
