Mom Gets Cardboard Cut-Out of Dog So Son Won’t Miss Him While He’s Away at College

It can be nerve-wracking to leave home for the first time, and Jake Ostrowski’s mom knows it. Bringing along their dog, Jesse, certainly would have made the transition easier, but as that wasn’t allowed, mom Sharla sent him off with the next best thing – a cardboard cut-out!

“I love my dog — he sleeps with me every night,” Jake told BuzzFeed News. “I’ve been really sad because I’ve got to leave him to go to college.”

Jake recently began his freshman year at Texas Tech University. Saddened though he was to leave his buddy behind, he was delighted by his mom’s incredibly thoughtful gift. He tweeted the photo of it, which quickly went viral.

“I’m sure anyone would love a cardboard cutout of their dog,” Jake said. “It can be kind of scary going off to college. But now I’ve got my dog in my dorm with me.”

Jesse’s life-size facsimile was tacked up right above the bed, sure to be noticed by anyone who walks in the room. Hopefully his presence will help keep Jake from missing him too much.

But as astute BuzzFeed reader Brooke Davis opined, “I think they need to get a cutout of the son for the dog. He’s going to miss him.”

What a sight to observe all ten puppies happily gobbling down their first solid meal with mama and papa dog on both ends Look at how well behaved they are! I mean for 10 pups, that’s quite an achievement! They don’t fight and eat quietly and yeah, actually have better manners than some kids haha! I’m quite amazed at these ten adorable babies; who would think that they’ll be such good pups!

As we watch them grow up, we take note of milestones like this and feel that sense of accomplishment that we successfully achieved another step towards raising fine young Labrador dogs. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done, especially in this case, 10 puppies is a big litter!!!

You know how it is when there are more than one dog in a household, all young and full of mischief. There will always be one of them who will go overboard one day and make a mess of the house, thinking the others won’t tell on him when their folks get home from work. Too bad for Matt, he sure is out of luck with Cody and Murphy. Those two tattle tales got scared as soon as mom got in and called all three of them to ask who made the mess. They quickly ratted out Matt – I’m sure he wanted to strangle them both, haha!

Matt tried his best to make a swift and graceful exit as soon as his mom asked him if he made the mess but of course, the guilty look on his face only confirmed the obvious. Oh dear, I do hope he won’t be in the doghouse, tonight!

Mom Just Busted This Pup Tearing Up Paper Towels. Her Reaction? Pretty Funny!

Most of the time, when dogs are caught red-handed stealing something, chewing something they shouldn’t, or doing some form of mischief, they either run away, or give you that sweet apologetic look that you just can’t resist. They know they’re guilty, so they either flee or they ask forgiveness. And with those cute puppy-dog eyes and that sorry face, we just can’t stay mad at them.

But the dog in the video below is different. Harley Quinn, a.k.a. HQ, was caught by her owner shredding the paper towel. But she doesn’t feel sorry at all. No apologetic look, and no guilty face! Instead, HQ attacks her owner to ensure there’s no witness to the crime! Check out the video below!

This cutie wanted to make sure there were no loose ends and no witnesses to the crime she has done. LOL!

Beagle Tells Mom She Is Pregnant Before The Doctors Even Knew

I’ve always wondered just how smart dogs can be but I didn’t realize they can be THIS smart!

Meet Walter, the Beagle! He was able to detect that there was a baby growing in his mommy’s tummy even before she was six weeks into her term of pregnancy – isn’t that awesome!

When his mom was 6 weeks pregnant, she laid down on the floor and asked Walter where the baby was and he immediately headed straight towards her belly and started licking and pawing it – I think he wanted baby to come out and play with him and his Beagle sister, Bindy. He was as excited as his parents for the arrival of their brand new baby and I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes good care of her and be her best friend forever!

I think smart dogs like Walter are really amazing but what’s more amazing is how he immediately loved, welcomed and watches out for his new baby sister, Averi. Check out this awesome video and share it with friends. You’ll never know, one of you might decide to adopt one smart dog like Walter too!

Rescued Dog Mom Adopts Homeless Baby Animals

Meet Peggy. Peggy is a sweet-tempered dog that was rescued, so she’s decided to return the favor to other animals in need. Peggy is a foster dog, but not because she’s being fostered – in fact, she’s doing the fostering! In this video, we see she’s taken in two homeless kittens and treats them as if they were her own puppies. She is extremely patient with the little kitties as she protects them and even plays with them. She’s so soft and gentle, it’s like she really knows that they’re just babies! Sweet Peggy is doing a great job teaching these kittens how to feel loved and cared for, just as her people did for her!

Peggy’s owners knew she’d be gentle and sweet with the new kittens, but they didn’t expect she’d become such an excellent surrogate mom. Big thanks to them for fostering, adopting and sharing this video!

Dog Mom Desperate to Keep Her Baby Alive

The following plea comes from McKel Matthews:

I am raising money so my dog Doobie can get ACL surgery. He is two years old and is my best friend. He is a very energetic dog and loves to be outside. He tore his ACL playing fetch and because my family hasn’t been able to afford his surgery, his other ACL has torn as well. He can’t walk without carrying his back legs so we are worried that his front legs will blow out as well. As a result, he will have to be put down.

He’s still such a happy dog even though he’s in pain. He loves people and loves other dogs. He’s playful and loves to snuggle. Right now his favorite thing to do is lay out in the sunshine. Yesterday was the first day that he completely stopped using his back left leg. I have to help him down the stairs on our porch to help him go to the bathroom. We have been giving him painkillers to help with the pain. Today he wouldn’t eat and I’m really worried about it. I’ve tried to get care credit but I don’t have enough credit to be approved. I made a gofundme page because I don’t know how else to raise the money.

I am asking for help so he can have the life he deserves. It breaks my heart that we cannot afford the surgery on our own. I love my dog and I just want him to have a better life. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. It hurts to see him suffer and I appreciate any help.

Adding a new baby to the family is always exciting, whether it’s a human, an animal, or even a new plant — whatever kind of person you are, becoming a first-time parent is always a hoot.

Everyone has different reactions to seeing their baby for the first time — laughter, tears, speechlessness. This new, young mom is overwhelmed with joy when she meets her new babe for the first time…she experiences all of the above, and it’s adorable to watch.

This is just too cute. I hope they have plenty of time to cuddle up on the couch binge-watching their favorite shows. And the best part? With this fuzzy bugger around, she’ll never have to nap solo again!

A Boxer named JuneBug loves to play with her 6-week-old puppies. You can see her and her four pups playing and having fun in the video below! And as you watch the video, it just gets sweeter and sweeter. Mommy JuneBug takes her time to play with each and every puppy.
